We are currently open for poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and criticism submissions. Please see below for details.
POETRY
Send up to six pages of poems as a docx to submissions.solar@gmail.com (If you have formatting needs that require a pdf, please send a pdf & a docx)
Under subject, please entitle the email as follows: “Submission: [Author’s first name] [Author’s last Name]”
Please include a brief biography in your email.
The submission deadline is August 20, 2022.
All submissions must be previously unpublished.
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. If your work is accepted for publication elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible.
Current Hunter MFA students are not eligible for publication.
Unfortunately, we are not able to pay contributors at this time.
FICTION
Submissions can be sent to submissions.fiction.solar@gmail.com.
We’re open to short stories - no novel excerpts please! We welcome flash fiction and shorter pieces.
Writers may submit either 1.) one story, no more than 7000 words in length, or 2.) up to 4 flash fiction pieces, each no more than 1500 words in length.
All submissions must be double spaced, in 12 pt. Times New Roman font, with numbered pages.
Please include both your name and your story title in your file name (e.g. FirstName LastName - Story Title).
You can submit in either .pdf or .docx format.
